BNHCA 2024 ENDORSEMENTS

2024 started off with two special elections, for City Council Districts 7 and 4, following the resignations of the incumbent councilmembers in those districts. BNHCA did not endorse in the District 7 race or hold candidate forums for District 4 due to scheduling limitations. However, we did invite District 4 candidates to respond to questionnaires for consideration for endorsement.

After reviewing responses to questionnaires and the candidate's records, BNHCA has officially endorsed the following candidates for the District 4 special election. We believe these individuals will be the strongest advocates for meaningful, effective housing & climate action on Berkeley City Council.

District 4 Endorsements

BNHCA is also endorsing ballot measures. As of April 2024, we are endorsing the SAFE STRETS Initiative, a parcel tax for street repair and safety and environmental enhancements. We will review other measures that qualify for the ballot in August or September and release additional endorsements then.
